The adventure (to say the least)
I've been a military spouse for 6 years. In the first five we moved four times, and we're currently posted abroad. My kids have been through three nurseries and three schools, and our closest family are a five-hour-plus flight away.
When I decided to train as a VA, I was working on my PhD in Education, and I'd realised it wasn't going to work for us with military life and small children. I hadn't held a “real” job in the UK yet. I genuinely couldn't see how I'd take on clients and build a business with zero previous experience.
I've been a VA since 2022 now, and it's been the unicorn career path I was searching for.
THe truth is, I was more equipped than I realised (and you are too!).
How I got here
